YWCA of Nigeria builds capacity of women and young women for effective participation in decision making processes, governance, formulation and implementation of policies and other democatic processes. We are actively engaged in mentoring and life skills development for young women and girls. This is aimed at enabling them to take up leadership in their immediate environments and lead change on issues affecting them. YWCA of Nigeria is leading by example in that regard, as it has a mandatory 25% and above inclusion of young women in leadership positions within the organization, enshrined in its constitution and remains a guiding principle in all its advocacy and programming.
